Policies
We pride ourselves in our reputation of customer service and care. The policies below are in place to benefit both customers and staff and maintain a happy and safe environment for all.
Zero tolerance of abuse to staff. We will not tolerate any form of abuse towards our staff and our staff reserve the right to refuse service at any time - this includes taking any beverages you may already have away, even if it has already been paid for. Staff also reserve the right to remove you from the premises. If you feel you are having a bad experience at The Rising Sun for whatever reason, please ask for one of our managers and advise them of any issues in a calm manner.
Children (anyone under the age of 18) are not permitted in the front bar at any time. This includes to order soft drinks, snacks or food. We have a specifically decorated "kids room" equipped with pens, paper, books and football table as well as a back bar, restaurant and large garden where children are welcome. Please note that there is no play area in the garden and management will take no responsibility for any injury. Parents are ask to supervise children at all times and dispose on any child related rubbish including nappies.
All dogs must be kept controlled, on a lead and must not enter the restaurant. The restaurant is a dog free zone in order to keep any customers with dog allergies safe. If your dog(s) consistently barks or harasses other dogs or people, staff reserve the right to ask you to remove the dog(s) from the premises even if this means cutting your time at The Rising Sun short.
No ID, no service. It is illegal to serve any persons under the age of 18 alcohol. If you are asked for ID and cannot present it, you will not be served an alcoholic drink even if it has been presented at a prior date. If staff believe that any ID presented is fake or does not belong to the person presenting it, they reserve the right to confiscate it and refuse service. Anyone caught buying alcohol to supply to a minor or person(s) without ID will also be refused service.
Zero tolerance to drugs. If anyone is seen by staff or reported to staff for the usage of drugs anywhere on the premises, you will be refused service and asked to leave. Anyone who is falsely accused may refer to the zero tolerance of abuse to staff policy above.
